(S)Ranger

Be it the icy tundra, the lush rainforest, or the dry desert, Rangers are found in all climates and all regions. Masters of the road less traveled, Rangers use their knowledge of nature and the land to aid them in protecting it. They are part hunter, part guide and part sage. In aquiring this knowledge most have created a bond with the creatures who they think can best help the wilds and the people around it. These Rangers travel the world hunting with these loyal companions.

Tips:

Melee and Range, With the lighter armor most rangers have it is usually a good idea to do as much damage as possible before engaging with an enemy. But when they do get in melee, drop the range and switch to dual wield.

Your not a Friend of the Unnatural, Your empathy skills may work on a panther but that displacer beast isn’t going to be nearly as kind. Some animals look very close to real world animal so never put all your faith in empathy. Good news is it does affect giant animals.

They are Followers not Fodder, Rangers gain some pretty unique followers. Continually sending them into battle so you can escape is uncool. Not only may you lose some followers, but you may lose your abilty to get new ones. Another note to keep in mind is that while your army of nature may be nice to have, you have to provide for all of them. And bringing a 20 foot spider into town is usually frowned upon by the local guard.
