Tips:

Swords are Everywhere, But an army of soldiers armed with only swords will easily fall against a well armed group of skeletons. Diversify your weapon choices. If every party member has long-swords it also makes dividing the loot that much more of a hassle.

Weapon Styles are your Friend, many a warrior has been bested by an opponent who may have lacked experience or power but who had more skill. A warrior with sword and shield style can swing a mace, parry with a small shield for a friend, and drink a potion all in one round.

Range Wins, Don’t leave home without a range weapon. Pick up a range weapon proficiency as soon as possible. You may be tough, but with no way to hit that flying dragon you are lizard bait.

Don’t be Afraid to Retreat, Yes you are the tank but if you go down the party is not going to be in a good place. Fall back, heal, and most of all protect your wounded party members.

Intelligence is Not a Dump Stat, You can trade extra NWPs from intelligence for WPs as well! You could be an average fighter, but the sheer number of weapons and skills you have could turn the tide of a battle.
